Dr. Daniel Kohansby

Originally from Phoenixville, PA Dr. Kohansby got his bachelor's degree in biology from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA. He studied Optometry and graduated from the PA College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA in 1996. He completed a residency in primary care at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia with a focus on the treatment of ocular disease. After practicing for 10 years in Phillipsburg, NJ, Dr. Kohansby took ownership of Valley Vision Care in 2009. Along with providing comprehensive eye care, he manages glaucoma, cataract, and diabetic eye disease, and fits complex contact lens cases with specialty contact lenses, including hybrid and scleral contact lenses. Dr, Kohansby is certified to fit Orthokeratology retainers, an exciting optical correction that allows the patient to be less reliant on daytime optical correction as well as potentially slowing the progression of nearsightedness. A big sports fan and musician, he spends his off hours with his wife and three daughters.
